The Motivated Musician

What has happened to the motivated musician.?

Hello business partners & Friends,

I have a question. Where have all of the dedicated and ambitious artists gone in the entertainment industry? My company is tired of meeting new prospective individuals and getting excited from all of the promises made in the beginning, just to be let down by poor performance in the end. We give packets out for the artists to get registered with a performance rights group and they don't even fill them out and turn them in. "I mean hey, who wants to get paid royalties for their music, RIGHT?"

I have personally set up big shows and contracts with different venues, and all but one of the artists scheduled to perform failed show up. "Now how ambitious is that?" Amazingly artists still want to continue doing business with our company like nothing happened, and wonder why we don't book them for any more shows. " I MEAN COME ON!"

In many cases we've booked studio time that is already paid for and the artists never show up for the session".

So I ask again, "what has happened to the motivated musicians?"
